I operate WorkLife Harmony Co — my independent online business within an industry I have become deeply passionate about: personal development.
I’m an Australian by choice, living in Brisbane, Queensland. I was born in a small provincial town in Buryatia, with a childhood dream of travelling and experiencing the wider world.
Having taken this path myself, I now value the opportunity to share what I have learned and support others as they explore what comes next
My professional journey began more than 20 years ago. From the start, I concentrated on strengthening my technical skills, increasing my income and progressing into more senior roles.
I moved between companies, industries, cities and countries in search of the ideal position — somewhere I could enjoy meaningful work while still having time for family, friendships, travel and the interests that made life rewarding.
For many years, my priorities followed a familiar order: work first, followed by everything else.
I believed that a higher salary, senior title and strong professional relationships would eventually provide the security and freedom I was working towards. I did not recognise how much I was leaving behind along the way.
Then the job I considered secure disappeared unexpectedly. The company changed direction and reduced its workforce within a month. My performance, experience and professional connections could not protect me from a decision beyond my control.
That experience was confronting. It also gave me space to acknowledge how tired I had become from pursuing the next ideal role and continually arranging my life around other people’s expectations.
Working remotely during the COVID years had already shown me another possibility: more time for family, personal interests and everyday life. I no longer wanted to lose that awareness.
My priorities moved into a healthier order: health, family, lifestyle, friendships, travel and then joyful, meaningful work.
At first, I was not searching for a business. I looked for a quieter remote role, believing that stepping back professionally might create more space for life.
Then I responded to an advertisement on LinkedIn. The initial screening call felt different. Instead of being asked how well I fitted an organisation’s requirements, I was asked what I wanted from my life, work and future.
I was not ready to answer that question. I continued searching until a follow-up email invited me to consider work-life balance from another perspective: life supported by work, rather than life continually arranged around it.
Curiosity encouraged me to respond.
I registered for a Q&A conversation to explore my personal-development goals, possible future directions and the commitment involved. By the end of that conversation, I was clearer about what I no longer wanted in my work-life balance and had practical information to consider before choosing my next step.
I chose to explore further. Since then, personal development has become one of the most valuable investments I have made—an investment in myself.
The Prosperity of Life programs have been the most comprehensive part of that journey to date. Each time I revisit them, I discover something new and extend my learning through books, courses, online materials and experiences shared by others.
The more I learn about myself, the more clearly I understand how I want to lead my life and work.
That greater clarity now guides how I operate my business — remotely, with more choice over where I work, how I organise my time and what I am working towards.
That LinkedIn advertisement and the engagement that followed connected my personal-development journey with the practical questions I was trying to resolve: my next professional step, income security and a healthier work-life balance.
The introductory presentation and Q&A conversation introduced me to an independent online distribution business that brought together many things I had been seeking: business ownership, personal development, online operations and access to an international market.
I did not need to develop every skill alone before starting. Structured training, experienced guidance, conversation scripts, live practice sessions and weekly distributor calls supported me while I built my capabilities.
Today, I operate my business independently while continuing to connect with the international distributor community. This allows me to update my knowledge, participate in events and explore different approaches to day-to-day business operations. Members regularly share practical lessons, challenges and wins from working across different markets.
My daily business activities are practical. I create and manage advertising, generate enquiries, speak with prospective participants, manage my business budget, maintain accurate records and meet my tax-reporting responsibilities.
